Dear Patients,
As concerns with the COVID-19 crisis continue, Parris and Associates is committed to providing the safest care for our patients in accordance with recommendations from local public health officials and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
At Parris and Associates, we encourage our patients to get the COVID vaccine. Please call the office for questions regarding vaccine timing while taking immunosuppressants. Please speak to your provider about your specific situation if there are concerns. In an effort to maximize the safety of our patients and staff, starting February 15th, will ask for proof of vaccination at the check-in desk. We will also be asking that our unvaccinated patients provide results of a negative COVID-19 test that was taken within 48 hours of their appointment. If patients are unable to access a test, we can administer the test on arrival to the office for a fee of $25.
As we attempt to return to our usual schedule we continue to offer in-person appointments and infusions in our Lilburn location. We will post an update on the date we will start infusions in our new Lawrenceville location. Providers may offer Telemedicine appointments. Until further notice, the Suwanee location is closed. We will continue our safety measures with screening temperatures and a questionnaire when patients arrive for appointments. We ask that only essential family members accompany patients to their appointments. Regardless of your vaccination status, we require that masks be worn by all persons entering our offices. We will provide a disposable mask if a patient or family member does not have one.
For the safety of patients, we are continuing to practice social distancing and frequently cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, rest rooms, and waiting areas. We are proud to report that all members of our staff are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Regardless of your vaccination status and due to the highly infectious Delta and Omicron variants, we ask that you continue to follow the recommendations of the CDC including:
- Frequent hand washing for 20 seconds
- Wearing a mask
- Covering mouth and nose while coughing/sneezing and disposing of used tissue
- Avoiding others who are sick
- Avoiding large crowds
- Avoiding non-essential travel (including overseas travel and cruises).
This is an evolving process, and we will continue to provide you with updates and changes to our process in the office. Patients can reach our office via phone and through portal messages but please note that due to decreased staffing responses to portal messages may be delayed. We appreciate your patience with us as we try to accommodate patients in a safe manner. Thank you for continuing to put your faith in Parris and Associates.
Sincerely,
